USFS Welcomes Koehn, Lear

The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) recently filled two director positions in its Washington, D.C. office. Steve Koehn has accepted the position of Director of Cooperative Forestry and Monica Lear has accepted the position of Director of Forest Health Protection.

Koehn has been with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Service for 30 years, having served as the Maryland State Forester the last 13 years. Koehn will report to his post July 6th.

For the past seven years, Lear has served as the Deputy Associate Director in the Urban Forestry Administration, District Department of Transportation and District of Columbia State Forester. Lear will report to her new post on June 1st.
